How We Began

On December 16th, 1998, Big Wayne, Cindy & "Lil" Wayne Bowen, after owning their 72 Malibu and "Lil" Wayne's Granddaddy's 75 Chevy Pickup, for a few years, decided to join a car club.  After finding no local club, they ran an ad in the local paper looking for people with the same interest in restoring, maintaining and showing off their vehicles.  So on January 1st, 1999 the SOUTHEAST GEORGIA CAR & TRUCK CLUB was formed and Chartered.  Our First President: Wayne Bowen, Vice President: Greg Bordenkircher, Treasurer: Joann Petersen, Secretary: Bobbie Chestnut, Trustee's: P.J. Fields & Justin Reynolds and our Sergeant-At-Arms: Jeffrey Parish.  The  first public display was the Mardi-Gras Parade and Show in downtown St. Marys on February 13th, 1999.  And the rest is history!

The Charter Members were Big Wayne, Cindy & "Lil" Wayne Bowen, Greg & Roxanne Bordenkircher, Chris & Joanne Petersen, John & Bobby Chestnut, Dan & Dori Brink, Dean Chandler, Chuck & Cathy Wilson, Justin Reynolds, P.J. & Lisa Fields, Jeffrey & Ann Parrish, Clayton & Stacey Cooler, Patrick Wilson, David Weis, Jerry & Kitty Stahler and Paul & Faye Davis.

We are a family oriented club.  We enjoy meeting new people and making new friends.  We are looking for new members that have an interest in cars and trucks.
